jazz fest: Ottawa After Dark
This was our first night at the Ottawa After Dark Series, and the Belleville Orchestra was performing on stage. The orchestra consisted of 7 musicians, who played wacky 1930s-inspired French tunes while the animated movie, The Triplets of Belleville played in the background. This was pretty cool in itself, as the film was well-known for its award winning soundtrack.
And of course, after the show, we had to take a few snaps of our #OOTN (that’s outfit of the night, for you non-Instagrammers). Night-time festivals call for comfort above all else, and light jackets for the cooler summer nights.
What she’s wearing H&M graphic print dress | Le Chateau faux leather jacket | Old Navy sandals | Le Chateau necklace | Vintage purse
What he’s wearing Lululemon purple t-shirt | DIY denim cutoff shorts | Thrifted varsity jacket | Converse shoes
We’ll be going to the Ottawa After Dark Series as often as we can, with live updates through Twitter and Instagram. Be sure to follow us there, for more recaps of the awesome music and our music fest outfits!

That’s a Woodhaven, Michigan varsity jacket! I was googling vintage pictures of interracial couples and stumbled on this! Interesting to see our jacket on a fashion blog

Great eye! I picked it up at a garage sale a few years back! Probably one of the most interesting and unique things I own.
